Two New Members inducted into the Rotary Club of Whitchurch.
The meeting opened with the induction into the club of two new members, Paul Coddington (left) and Graham Box (centre). Paul was proposed by PP Ray Hatton and Graham by President Peter Howe (right). The Objects of Rotary were read out by Mike Arnold and then the pair were presented with their badges.
Paul is married with two children. He is a physicist who now lives in Whitchurch having travelled extensively and has an interest in amateur radio.
Graham is a Chemical Engineer, married with two sons and is keen on cookery and golf. He has also travelled extensively with his work for Shell and it is easiest to say that between them they have not been to Timbuktu. It was remarked that they had travelled more than PP Tom Kelly.
Both were warmly welcomed into Whitchurch Rotary Club.
Whitchurch entrant wins District 1210 'Young Chef of the Year'.

PP Ray Hatton accompanied Jayne Bennett, from St John Talbot's High School and her mum, to Stafford where Jayne was our contestant in the Young Chef of the Year competition.
Despite having a faulty oven and having to move partway through the cooking process to a different one, Jayne triumphed and will now go through to the next round which will be held in later in the year in Birmingham.
Our congratulations go to Jayne for a skilled performance delivered under pressure.
