Welcome to Whitchurch Rotary Club

Whitchurch Rotary Club is well into it's 70th year (2008). In the past eleven years the club has raised nearly £70,000 through their charity account, most of which has been distributed locally. Our principal fund raising activities includes the annual Christmas Santa float, which last year raised £6,000 and brought smiles to thousand's of young faces all over the local district.

Our work in the local Community includes taking gifts and hot Christmas lunches to over a hundred local elderly people in their homes on Christmas day, an Annual Concert for the elderly and those in need in the Civic Centre every May, Annual Holidays in Blackpool for those who may not otherwise be able to take a holiday and annual outings with one-to-one care provided.

Internationally, we make regular donations to charities where we know that the money will go directly to bring help to those in need, and this inevitably means that we have built strong relationships with those charities. Recent support has been given to Pump Aid, a charity dedicated to providing clean drinking water to African villages; to Children from Chernobyl, helping to give young, sick people from that devasted area a holiday in the UK; and the Impact Foundation, a Rotary International supported charity which runs mobile hospitals and operating theatres on special trains, ships and even in tents throughout Africa, India and Nepal. We also provide emergency funding and emergency clean water to areas of the world struck by natural disaster.
