We meet in the Dodington Lodge Hotel every 1st & 3rd Tuesday evening at 6:30pm for Dinner, every 2nd and 4th Tuesday at 12:45pm for lunch, and if there's a 5th Tuesday, we meet at 7:00am for Breakfast. Visitors are welcome.

ROLY D. WYATT

Born in Whitchurch and educated at the Infant department, Whitchurch High School, Whitchurch Grammar School and Rossall School. Left school to join the family Water Engineering business prior to National service, when he was commissioned in the Royal Engineers and stationed at Gibraltar. On demobilisation continued education at Shrewsbury Technical College to Higher National certificate and elected an Associate Member of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers in 1965. In Rotary, Chairman club service in 1963, Foundation 1973-75. Appointed District Attendance officer in 1977 serving until 1998 including membership of the requisite committee. Club attendance officer since 1979. Joined George Harris as the administrator of the Rotary telephone alarm system in 1999 this now exceeds 150 phones in total. Attended two International conferences in Rome (1978) and Birmingham (1985). Created a Paul Harris Fellow 1996. Awarded R I commemorative certificate to mark 50 years in Rotary in 2005. Director of Wyatt Bros. (Whitchurch) Ltd from 1959 to 1988, left family business in 1988 to work independantly as a consultant water engineer, until retirement in 1999. Played tennis from age 11 to present day. Rugby at Rossall and for Whitchurch till 1963 (skipper 1956, chairman 4 years and secretary 5 years), referee for 17 seasons. On club and county committees for tennis and rugby. Magistrate for 25 years (1974-1999); vice-chairman of fund raising committee Whitchurch Swimming Pool; and also local Waterways trust. Golf since 1995 and member of Rotary golf circle winning Bellis trophy on two occasions.
Joined Rotary 7/6/1955. Nephew Northampton Rotarian.
