Visitors Welcome

We meet in the Dodington Lodge Hotel every 1st & 3rd Tuesday evening at 6:30pm for Dinner, every 2nd and 4th Tuesday at 12:45pm for lunch, and if there's a 5th Tuesday, we meet at 7:00am for Breakfast. Visitors are welcome.

PRESIDENT 1953/54
SAM BIGGINS


Was born at Edge, Malpas and attended Whitchurch Grammar School. During World War I he served in the Middle East and Flanders. He lived most of his life in Whitchurch, working as a cheese factor where he established his own business and was a highly respected judge at local and national cheese fairs. During the second war he was Chief Warden a particularly arduous post involving nightly visits to the five wardens posts scattered round the town.
He joined Rotary 1/1/1948. Treasurer 1951/52. Died 11/8/67. Aged 72 years.
His wife was President Inner Wheel 1953/54.
