Visitors Welcome

We meet in the Dodington Lodge Hotel every 1st & 3rd Tuesday evening at 6:30pm for Dinner, every 2nd and 4th Tuesday at 12:45pm for lunch, and if there's a 5th Tuesday, we meet at 7:00am for Breakfast. Visitors are welcome.

PRESIDENT 1959/60
ALAN E. YOUATT


Educated at Giggleswick School, Yorkshire and graduated M.A. from Queens College, Cambridge. Taught at Cambridge and Harpenden before succeeding L.J. Medway as the 28th headmaster of the Whitchurch Grammar School in January 1946. He lived at Mossfields supervising the boarding facility which then existed. He retired from teaching in Easter 1972. He served in the REME in the 2nd World War attaining the rank of captain and specialising in Radar technology. A staunch churchman he was warden at St. Alkmund's for many years and on retirement joined the ministry in Wiltshire.
Joined Rotary 5/11/1946. Died 27/5/88. His wife President Inner Wheel 1960/61 and 1966/67, secretary 1948/49.
