Visitors Welcome

We meet in the Dodington Lodge Hotel every 1st & 3rd Tuesday evening at 6:30pm for Dinner, every 2nd and 4th Tuesday at 12:45pm for lunch, and if there's a 5th Tuesday, we meet at 7:00am for Breakfast. Visitors are welcome.

Succeeded Billy Jones, the club's founder secretary, in the mid 1940's as Commercial Union agent for the area. He rapidly integrated himself into the town's social and cultural life. As the founder of the Victoria Clubmen he entertained many thousands around the district with his musical talents and raised significant sums for local organisations. He was an avid and resolute chairman of the local Road Safety committee; and on joining Rotary threw himself into its work especially in relation to the Christmas activities, outings and playing at the annual May concerts. His son, Ieuan, is past president of the Tamworth Ankers Rotary club.
Joined Rotary 14/2/61. Hon member 1969. Died 21/6/1977.
