Visitors Welcome

We meet in the Dodington Lodge Hotel every 1st & 3rd Tuesday evening at 6:30pm for Dinner, every 2nd and 4th Tuesday at 12:45pm for lunch, and if there's a 5th Tuesday, we meet at 7:00am for Breakfast. Visitors are welcome.

2008 - 2009 Bill Carmichael


Born London 1932 within the sound of Bow Bells. - A true cockney. During the War,having been “Bombed out” moved to Twickenham near to the Rugby ground. Went to Thames Valley Grammar School and read chemistry at Hull University. Did national service in REME. Has a BA (1976) and MSc (2006)from the Open University. Chartered Environmentalist. Worked for Local Authorities and Thames Water on the operation and design of wastewater treatment works, water supply, water distribution and the control and prevention of water pollution. A Water Engineer. Took early retirement in 1984 from post of Divisional Manager, with the ambition of working overseas. Spent the next 15 years working as a consultant in the middle east, Czech Republic, Poland and Albania. Moved to Whitchurch from London in 1999. Hobbies include reading, gardening, swimming, walking and environmental conservation.
